This Plain Language Summary of Publication article (PLSP) from Expert Opinion on Biological Therapy, presents the overall long-term safety findings from the VOLTAIRE clinical trials, which evaluated adalimumab-adbm (Cyltezo®), a biosimilar to adalimumab (Humira®), in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and chronic plaque psoriasis. Biosimilars are highly similar to their reference biologic drugs, which are complex molecules made using living cells. The analysis combines safety data from five VOLTAIRE studies (VOLTAIRE-RA, VOLTAIRE-RAext, VOLTAIRE-CD, VOLTAIRE-PsO, and VOLTAIRE-X) to compare adalimumab-adbm with its reference product.
