How patients and doctors view pulmonary hypertension treatment options: a plain language summary

This Plain Language Summary of Publication article (PLSP) from Future Cardiology interviewed 26 patients and 18 doctors about a single-pill combination therapy for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a severe lung condition. The therapy combines two PAH medications (macitentan and tadalafil) and is now approved in several countries. During the 16-week study, patients received either individual medications or the combination (all taking 4 pills daily, some placebo, to prevent bias).
