Plain language summary: tarlatamab for patients with previously treated small cell lung cancer

This Plain Language Summary of publication article (PLSP) from Future Oncology, the phase 2 DeLLphi-301 study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of tarlatamab in people with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) who had previously undergone at least two treatments. Tarlatamab is a novel medicine that targets the DLL3 protein on cancer cells, enabling the immune system’s T cells to attack the cancer. Participants received either 10 mg or 100 mg doses of tarlatamab via intravenous infusion every two weeks, starting with a small 1 mg dose to reduce the risk of cytokine release syndrome (CRS).
